🔹 Description
The reinforced clock mechanism is designed specifically for artboards and decorative clocks filled with epoxy resin. Smooth running, precision and sufficient power allow you to work even with hands of increased weight.
The mechanism is presented in several options for thread height and stem — choose the one that is ideally suited to the thickness of your top cover and resin layer.
🔧 Types and compatibility1) 9/16 mm
Suitable for artboards with a top cover up to 7 mm, taking into account the resin layer.
• 9 mm — thread height
• 16 mm — stem height
2) 12/18 mm
Suitable for top cap up to 10 mm, including resin.
• 12 mm — thread height
• 18 mm — stem height
3) 19.3/28 mm
Suitable for cap up to 17 mm, including resin.
• 19.3 mm — thread height
• 28 mm — stem height
4) 24.5/31 mm
Suitable for cap up to 22 mm, including resin layer.
• 24.5 mm — thread height
• 31 mm — stem height
The first digit in the mechanism designation — thread height.
The second — stem height (the base on which the hands are fixed).
When choosing, we take into account:
• thickness of the top cover of the artboard
• approximate layer of poured resin
• possible height of stones or decor
• height of the nut (on average 2 mm)
Let's assume:
• top cover of HDF — 3 mm
• layer of resin — 3 mm
• nut — 2 mm
Calculation:
3 + 3 + 2 = 8 mm of the required thread height
👉 The 9/16 mm mechanism will be suitable, because the thread height is — 9 mm.
In this case, the hour hand will be approximately 3 mm above the resin surface.
💎 If you use stones in your workIf the board has stones, crystals or volumetric decor — add their height to the calculations and choose a mechanism with a higher thread height and stem so that the hands do not touch the elements in the resin.
